Thanks Coaches!! Some great tennis today against Centennial at East Roswell Park. Lots of tough matches today. I got stuck in traffic and then so wrapped up watching that I didn't even use up a whole card!! Good thing Lisa was snapping photos too! Can't wait to see hers!
We'll try to get these meshed up with the ones Lisa has taken and get them linked to the Tennis website but at least wanted to get these up where the kids could check them out.
Well Sunday was a bit warmer out than on Saturday! Joseph had a tough early morning match but finished out the day with a win over Patrick to clinch 2nd place in the tournament. Jack was the only player to win a game against Hunter, the first place winner. All in al it was a great experience! Ouch - forgot to reset the clock. Thought it was still yesterday.
My son, Joseph, played in his first USTA tennis tournament today. A great opportunity to try out the 2x adapter on my Olympus E3. This gives my 450-200mm lens giving me a 400mm focal length. Had to increase the ISO a bit to keep the shutter speed up since the aperture is doubled as well but was pretty satisfied with the photos. Joseph & his opponent, Jack, played long points in the cold weather splitting sets and finally ending the match with a close 10 point tie breaker (10-6). We'll be back out early tomorrow morning for 3 more matches. Here is a some photos of Jack that I promised his dad.
I've worked in Information Technology for over twenty years but was bitten by the photo bug in late 1999 with my first digital camera - an Olympus Z-2020 with telephoto & wide angle adapters and a whopping 1.2 MegaPixels!! Since then I've stayed with the Olympus digital line shooting with the E-10 until they introduced the 4/3 system. Since then I've been shooting w/E-1 and now E-3 bodies and a variety of Olympus E-4/3 system lens. I enjoy shooting a wide variety of images from sports, portraits, special events, weddings, & still art.
